Meet Dana Podell, DPT, E-RYT

Licensed Physical Therapist Specializing in Pelvic Health, Pain Care, & Yoga Therapy

Dr. Dana Podell graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. During her studies, she completed additional course work and an intensive clinical internship in the treatment of pelvic health. As a pre-requisite to her clinical internship, Dana completed the Pelvic Floor training course with Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation institute as well as additional coursework in pregnancy & postpartum care and manual therapy to the abdominal wall.

 

Prior to becoming a licensed physical therapist, Dana was a dancer for many years and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The Ohio State University. Following her dancing days, Dana pursued the path of yoga after experiencing many of her own personal injuries. Since her first yoga class, she has been fortunate enough to complete over 500 hours of therapeutic yoga teacher trainings and continues to study for her 800-hour yoga therapy certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists with expected completion in 2025.

 

Dana provides compassionate care while cultivating mutual trust and understanding with her patients. Her unique approach to care is aimed to treat the whole person, because she understands that addressing the body holistically results in long-term sustainable health. She believes you can embody health and move pain-free with gentle guidance and support along the way.
