Meet Dana Podell DPT, E-RYT

Doctor of Physical Therapy & Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher

Welcome :) If you landed here then you are in the right place. 

The beginning: My yoga practice began as a complement to studying Dance in college at Ohio State University. I originally practiced yoga as a way to heal and restore personal injuries. To my surprise, I discovered yoga to be both a perfect physical practice for my body as well as a place to cope with the emotional stress of life. Since my first yoga class 11 years ago, I've completed a 200hr yoga teacher training and additional yoga certificates in therapeutic yoga techniques for spinal health. My passion for knowledge inspired me to return to graduate school where I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Northwestern University in 2021. During my studies, I also completed additional course work and an intensive clinical internship in the treatment of pelvic health.

Now:  After some time living and offering my services in Tel-Aviv, life has led me back to my hometown, Chicago. I now offer 1:1 physical therapy, private therapeutic yoga, and group yoga sessions in and around the Chicago area. My approach is gentle and compassionate helping you discover pain-free movement patterns, sustainable self-care routines, and a positive relationship with your body.
