Meet Dana Podell DPT, E-RYT

Doctor of Physical Therapy & Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher

Welcome :) If you landed here then you are in the right place. â€‹

The beginning: My yoga practice began as a complement to studying Dance in college at Ohio State University. I originally practiced yoga as a way to heal and restore personal injuries. After developing a steady practice, I decided to dive deep into the healing space of yoga and completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2017. Since then I have acquired an additional yoga certificate in therapeutic yoga techniques for spinal health. Excited to learn more about the physical body, I returned to graduate school and received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Northwestern University in my hometown, Chicago. During my studies, I also completed additional course work and an intensive clinical internship in the treatment of pelvic floor health.

Now:  After finishing my doctorate degree, I decided to follow my intuition and move to Tel-Aviv. I am very excited about this transition and to offer my services in this new city. My current approach to healing the body is holistic, integrating the spiritual realm of yoga with the science of evidenced based physical therapy. I believe that there is great potential for the body to heal with yoga informed movement, breathing practices, and manual therapy. When I am not in the clinic or teaching yoga, you can find me on the beach or cooking up yummy vegetarian food.

I am so excited to meet you and to help you start your healing journey!

What clients are saying

"I was not a yoga lover until I started taking class with Dana. Now I relish the chance to practice with her every chance I get. The specificity of her instruction and explanations for how it should feel in the body has made a massive difference in my experience. I always feels incredible after class with Dana, and she always takes the time to answer specific questions and offer suggestions after class. She really cares about her students and honoring the authenticity of yoga."
